Deductibles
The amount you must pay out-of-pocket before insurance begins to pay. Typical dental deductibles range from $0 to $100 per year. Some plans waive the deductible for preventive services.
Annual Maximum
The maximum amount your insurance will pay in a calendar year, typically ranging from $1,000 to $2,000. Once reached, you pay 100% of remaining services that year.
Waiting Periods
Some plans have waiting periods before covering certain services (typically 6-12 months for major services). Preventive services are usually covered immediately.
Pre-Authorization
Some plans require pre-authorization for major work. We can submit estimates to your insurance for approval before treatment begins.

Insurance & Financing FAQs
How do I verify my insurance benefits?
Bring your insurance card to your appointment, and we'll verify your coverage for you. You can also call the phone number on your card and ask about deductibles, annual maximum, and coverage percentages.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
We offer our in-house membership plan with significant discounts on all services. We also offer payment plans and CareCredit financing to help make care affordable.
Will you bill my insurance for me?
Yes! We handle insurance billing for you. You'll pay any out-of-pocket costs, and we'll bill your insurance directly for their portion.
What is your policy on unpaid balances?
We work with patients on payment arrangements. If you have difficulty paying, please talk to us. We'd rather work out a solution than send your account to collections.
Can I get an estimate before treatment?
Absolutely! We provide detailed estimates for all treatments. If your plan requires pre-authorization, we'll submit our estimate for approval before beginning work.
How accurate are your estimates?
Our estimates are based on examination findings and insurance information. The actual cost may vary slightly depending on what we discover during treatment, but we'll always inform you of any changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept all PPO dental insurance plans. We're not in-network with HMO/DMO plans but can often still see those patients with reimbursement to follow. We verify your specific benefits before treatment so you know exactly what's covered.
What if I don't have insurance?
Several paths work well for patients without coverage. The in-house membership plan is built around a flat annual fee, our $199 new patient special covers a complete first visit, and CareCredit medical financing handles larger plans with 0% and low-interest options. Most uninsured patients combine at least two of those.
How does CareCredit financing work?
CareCredit is a medical credit card that offers 0% and low-interest plans for healthcare expenses. You can apply in our office or online, get an instant decision, and use it for any treatment — from a single crown to a full implant case. The right plan depends on the amount financed and your credit profile.
Will you give me a quote before treatment?
Always. Every treatment plan we recommend comes with a written estimate that shows your insurance contribution, your out-of-pocket cost, and any available financing options — before you commit to anything.
Can treatment be sequenced to maximize insurance benefits?
Yes. If your plan has annual maximums and you need extensive work, we'll typically sequence treatment across calendar years so each year's maximum can be applied. We'll also stage work to handle the most urgent needs first when budgets are tight.
